Happy 17th Anniversary, VF!
Tuesday, 29 November 2016 13:01

Hello donors, supporters and dear friends,

Can you believe November marks our 17th Anniversary!!! Thank YOU for making this kingdom work possible for 17 years!!! Let’s keep it going another 17+ years!!!

We are in a unique situation with a group of new dancers eager to get out of the clubs. One of the dancers, Dominque, has gotten a certification to do taxes. She wants to open a tax office and hire four more dancers to work with her. We have found an office space and are trying to raise 10K to support her vision. It’s amazing that for 10K, not only one, but five dancers, will exit the sex industry! Please pray big, and see what God leads you to give! Let’s make this happen for these precious ladies. Our deadline is Saturday, December 31st! Such a small price to give five dancers their wings!!!

We are in need of outreach items! Please let us know if you, your organization or Bible study group can donate as we hit the clubs throughout the holidays. This time of year is especially difficult on the dancers as many are estranged from their families. The holidays are a lonely time for many! Let’s dig deep and bless big!!!

Thank you all for blessing us so richly! We are so grateful!

"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'” (Matthew 25:40)

Love and blessings!

She Chose Life!
Monday, 24 October 2016 14:35

On July 12th of this year, the Martin family welcomed baby Isaac into their family! Here is the incredible story of how God brought Isaac into this loving Christian family, redeemed heartache, multiplied Joy and how Victoria’s Friends has been a part of it!

The Martin family has always had a heart for orphans and children in need. After having three children of their own, Jared and Cindy felt their family had room for one more. The Martins chose to pursue international adoption in countries where Christianity is marginalized so that they could bring a child into God’s family.

The Martins were blessed with a four-year-old boy from China they named Benjamin. As soon as they brought Benjamin home, the Martins knew something was not right. He was eventually diagnosed with multiple psychological disorders. After many years of struggle and much prayer, the Martins and their adoption agency came to the heartbreaking conclusion: Benjamin needed specialized care and had to be placed another home. Jared and Cindy were devastated, yet they believed God had a greater plan and purpose.

A few months later, they became involved in the 40 Days for Life ministry. This is a worldwide gathering of Christians who pray and fast for an end to abortion for 40 days. Victoria’s Friends participated in this ministry effort by sending some volunteers and VF bags. One night during this effort, the Martins were praying outside of the Affordable Abortions clinic in Roswell. A woman walked up with her three children and shared that she had an appointment to get an abortion. The woman was a single mother and in a transitional program for the homeless. The father of the baby did not want the child, and they were not in a loving relationship.

The Martins felt very unqualified to minister to this mother, yet they strongly believed that God sovereignly placed them there. After praying with the mother and reminding her how much God loved her, she agreed to go to the local pregnancy center. There she had an ultrasound which revealed a beautiful fourteen-week-old baby boy inside of her. After seeing him, she chose life! Knowing this single mother would need a consistent Christ-centered support system, Cindy called on Victoria Teague. Amazingly, Cindy met Victoria only two days prior. What a perfect God we serve!

Along with the Martins, Victoria’s Friends became a tremendous lifeline for the woman and surrounded her with the unconditional love of Jesus Christ throughout her pregnancy. Even with strong support, it was a difficult pregnancy filled with the challenges of job loss, eviction, homelessness and domestic violence. Three weeks before the baby was born, the mother asked if Jared and Cindy would adopt her son. Struggling to take care of her family, she didn’t feel could care properly for another child.

On July 12th of this year, Jared and Cindy and their daughters welcomed baby Isaac into their family! They are in awe of God’s greater plan for their family. The birth mother expressed how grateful she is that she chose life for her baby. She said choosing to abort baby Isaac would have moved her farther away from God, but deciding to trust God and choose life brought her closer to God!

If we can show a mother her worth in Christ, then she will see the worth in her baby and choose life. Through the generous support of faithful donors, Victoria’s Friends has helped the birth mother and baby Isaac with critical needs, including adoption fees, counseling, clothing and diapers! Thank you for being a part of God’s greater plan: He brought hope to a mother in crisis, life to a baby in need, and joy to the Martin family!

The Harvest is Here!
Monday, 24 October 2016 14:23

“For God is the one who provides seek for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.” - 2 Corinthians 9:10

Thank you for making Kristen Brown's birthday wish come true! After persevering through 10 brain surgeries and a massive brain bleed in the past year, Kristen had 1 wish for her upcoming birthday. She wanted to have a Victoria’s Friends bag-making party to help other women!

The party was held September 24th at the Chick-fil-A in Marietta and was a HUGE success. Through your donations and prayers, we ended up with 20 fully-loaded beautiful bags for the strip club outreaches, and 7 new dancers attended.

My favorite moment of the evening was when all the dancers were sitting around Kristen, listening to her miraculous story. She shared how God has been with her every single moment since she left the clubs and has taken care of the needs of her family. What an amazing journey to be a single mother of 4 and trusting God with your very life. What a testimony to the 7 new dancers coming on board!

After hearing Kristen’s story, another dancer chose to quit dancing the very night of Kristen's party! She was expecting and having medical issues, and Victoria’s Friends covered her medical expenses. She had a moment of weakness and was driving back to the strip club when she was pulled over by a police officer. He had every right to take her in because both her driver's license and green card had expired. Instead, the officer instructed her to pull her car into a church parking lot, to get out, and to start walking. He said he did not see her and did not want to see her back on the road.

That, my friends, is the power of prayer! She got it! She’s done with dancing, and thanks to your generous support, she has a chance to get her life straightened out. She is starting corporate training with Legacy! God is all about rescuing His girls! I praise God for this Kingdom work and that we are able to meet the needs of these precious ones as they meet JESUS and watch HIM rally for their lives! God’s love is an irresistible love that triumphs over all things!

I’m speechless at all God continues to do!

The harvest is here! Join the Great Harvester as He rallies for the 10 new ladies who have joined us!

Provide scholarships

Scholarships will benefit the 7 dancers from Kristen’s party who desire to make a life change, 2 sisters who dance in order to survive and feed their children, and another young single mother who dances. Transportation is needed for 3 ladies. Please consider being a special part of their journeys!

Donate to the Basket Outreach

Donations are used to buy supplies for the gift baskets, which serve the important purpose of informing dancers about the services available to them through Victoria’s Friends. Baskets are delivered to dancers' dressing rooms during our monthly outreaches.

God bless you! It’s an honor to do this Kingdom work! To God be the glory! Thank you for blessing these precious ladies!!!

Love, Victoria

A secret is an unstable foundation on which to build a new life. Or is it?
Friday, 27 March 2015 19:38

What haunts you? What shames you? What from your past do you believe disqualifies you from serving God wholeheartedly? What if that burdensome secret you hide and guard so carefully could be the very thing God wants to use both to recreate you and show others the path to healing, joy and purpose?

Following an eleven-year cocaine addiction and a dangerous career as a dancer in the sex industry, Victoria Teague built a new life on top of her secrets. For ten years, post-recovery, she sat in the pews of her church with a grateful heart and a “zip-locked” mouth. Only a precious, trusted few (among them her husband and the woman who led her to Jesus Christ) knew her complete, spiritual rags-to-riches story.

In Reaching for Life, Victoria recounts the trifecta of tragedies that impacted and sent her spiraling down in her mid-teens: the death of her younger sister, a demoralizing rape that involved two football players and a teacher, and the loss of her beloved grandfather. Stripped of her dignity and health at age 28 because of her addictions and lifestyle, Victoria contemplated suicide. Miraculously, God extended a lifeline and she grabbed it. New opportunities, spiritual and emotional growth, and a loving family followed.

Then one day, she clearly heard God’s voice asking her not only to share her secrets, but to spotlight them. To use them as her “street cred” to minister to other women in the strip clubs who desperately need the same mercy, direction, salvation, and purpose she received. Her “Yes!” to that call ultimately resulted in the birth of Victoria’s Friends, the volunteer-led ministry that has rescued more than 300 ladies from the clubs that Victoria fears are maybe even less than a yard from hell.

Victoria’s story invites and inspires readers to allow God to do, as the Bible promises, “immeasurably more than they ever thought or imagined” with their own shame and sorrow.

Thanksgiving 2014
Wednesday, 26 November 2014 10:29

It's amazing that we are rapidly approaching the holidays!

Just wanted to get a letter out to thank you all for an unbelievable year! The harvest is rich and ripe, and we are excited! Let's look at a few of our God-stories. Many of you know that Boomers Strip Club was forced to close last January. Many ladies were forced out with no jobs and no notice. One lady we've been blessed to get to know was pregnant and already on her way out the door when she met our team. We are so proud of Shirley for leaving Boomers and having her baby girl. The first year of pulling out of the sex industry was difficult, especially with a child. However, Shirley has stayed the course and is making it because of donors like you! We currently have close to 15 single mothers who are in the process of or have already left the clubs and street life.

Sequoyia left her pimp back in January. She accepted Christ and was baptized Easter weekend! As often happens, she got confused and went back to her old lifestyle! By divine intervention her pimp was arrested, and Sequoyia has come back to us! We are SO grateful that she is alive and are proud to announce she was accepted to Wellspring Living for their program! So delighted that God saved her for such a time as this! Thank you, faithful donors, for making the resources available for us to rescue this precious one!

So many are leaving the streets and their pimps and being set free! The hotline has been busy! Praise God that we are able to get the ladies to safety quickly! Another partner of ours is the House of Cherith, with City of Refuge! This is a beautiful home offered for victims of sex trafficking. We are having great success getting the ladies into the home. A pastor called with two 19-year-olds who had escaped from their pimp. Within 2 hours they were safely taken to the home. Another precious lady from Africa barely escaped death from a pimp. She found herself in a hospital bed where she found out about Victoria's Friends. Again, she left the hospital with a safety net of love and was escorted to the House of Cherith! I am so grateful to my team who worked hard to make sure all 4 of these ladies were safe and sound!

We have a quiver full of not only ladies from the streets but ladies making it out of the clubs. We have many in need of Christmas and financial support this year! Please consider these precious ladies for your year-end donations! We thank you all so much for your faithful and tremendous support! We are running baskets of love monthly throughout the year and weekly as we approach Christmas. Christmas is a lonely time for the ladies as they are estranged from their families! Many are desperate dancing to raise funds to feed their children. Confused and lost. These gifts are often are the only gifts they receive. Certainly the only thing they receive for free.

We are running $2,000 to $5,000 per lady to transition them out of the sex industry! Please consider giving these ladies a chance at life and to be loved and to know the love of Christ!

We love you all and wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.

Love, Victoria

Living In Full-Time Humility
Monday, 16 September 2013 17:45

As I have mentored and counseled the ladies of Victoria's Friends, I have noticed a huge thread that ties each of us together. And it’s not just the dancers: it affects everyone. PRIDE!

If we could dig deep to the root of whatever problem we’re dealing with right now, most of us would find pride is the foundation of the problem. (Grab your Bible and look up the verses listed below. You’ll find God’s Word is precious and illuminating)

We need to deal ruthlessly with whatever separates us from Jesus. It starts with accepting the reality of nothing. Jesus tells us in John 15:5, “ .. for without Me you can do nothing.”

The hard truth is, in yourself, not only can you do nothing, but you are nothing (Galations 6:3), you know nothing (1 Corinthians 8:2), and you have nothing (1 Corinthians 4:7)!

That’s a lot of nothing, but when we get that revelation, we really start to connect with God as our all and everything. That’s when pride begins to fade and humility moves in more and more.

Part-time humility is not enough. Our perfect example, Jesus, lived a meek and lowly life.

Here’s what it looks like to live in rhythm with brokenness:

  • 1) Your life is transitioning from living in the flesh to walking in the Spirit. (Galations 5:19-25)
  • 2) You’re shifting from trying to be important to helping others discover their value. (Philippians 2:3-9)
  • 3) You’re teachable and correctable. (Proverbs 15:12, 15:31-33, 18:1)
  • How are you doing in these areas? What is it about your life that needs to change?
    Boomerang Blessings
    Tuesday, 25 June 2013 17:38

Its a wonderful blessing to be taught a spiritual concept and to pass that concept forward to your group. This is exactly what happened after I attended the Women's Resilient Conference at Victory World Church.
The teaching was simple yet profound, the words you speak out come back to you like a boomerang!

    1 Peter 3:10-12
    For, whoever would love life
    and see good days
must keep their tongue from evil
and their lips from deceitful speech.
    11 They must turn from evil and do good;
they must seek peace and pursue it.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.

Not only do our words have a boomerang effect- The words we speak are what we are offering to God.

Are you blessing or cursing others? We are all wired to be blessed. God is a blesser  by nature and we too, are blessers by nature.

As I shared this with my thursday VF group -we all decided to call our group the Boomerang Blessers! We all got excited about blessing others and with blessings ourselves.

One lady who is just barely off the streets received a basket of love from us. On her ride home on Marta, she noticed a lady who was downtrodden. She felt a nudge to reach in her basket and give the lady a plaque that said, Believe, there is hope! So touching for one of our precious ladies to become a boomerang blesser!! She glowed as she watched the woman smile and take the plaque.

Are you a Boomerang Blesser?  Join us as we watch our blessings bounce back......

    The Garden and the Vine
    Tuesday, 25 June 2013 17:30

As I was turning up the winding road that leads to Bearfoot Ranch, a van for a lawn service turned heading up the road in front of me. The beautiful advertising on the side of the van read, Vines Gardening...

That really caught my attention because my focus has been on God tending to us as a garden. How appropriate to see this van before our graduation. Each lady who has been discipled for a year, turning the corner from a life of stripping, prostitution and often times homeless.

John 15:1 -8 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.  He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.  You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.  Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me."

What a rich reminder as we celebrated our ladies graduating. I can take a deep sigh of relief knowing they are connected to the vine.  Jesus is the only answer! He who who gives life and tends to their every need.

Support Ladies Transitioning out of Dancing
    Sunday, 21 November 2010 19:53

Victoria's Friends board, staff and team make a habit out of fasting. The combination of fasting and prayer is what gives us the spiritual edge we need to run the race and reach the dancers. This year we have a unique opportunity to not only enhance our fasting with wonderful products but also to help our dancers to continue transistioning out of dancing. The job market is tight and what the ladies need is a job and supplemental income to stay out of the clubs. Not only are our dancers accepting Christ and trusting HIM with their lives, they are also becoming Godly business women.

Victoria's Friends is also teaching them to run their own businesses. Our dancers have not only left the club, they are selling nutritional products and reshaping garments. Please help a dancer to support herself and enhance your fast by purchasing our detox cleansing or weight loss gift basket!

Happy Fasting in January! It’s our favorite time of year to hear from God. Let's all be successful in our fast as it sets the course for the year! God bless! Running the race to reach the lost!

Don't Just Go to Church - Be the Church
    Thursday, 28 January 2010 16:16

Our friend Jason Leming recently asked me to share my story on his blog that encourages people to not just go to church, but to be the church by reaching out to others in need. Please check out Jason's blog at My story is the January 21 entry.
